We are working with our member NHS Charities on a national campaign that acknowledges and supports NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients. This campaign is endorsed by NHS England.

Details
will soon be published with information on how individuals, groups and
organisations can get involved with the appeal to help make a difference to NHS
patients, through the dedicated frontline workers, during the coronavirus
pandemic.

Funds
generated will be granted to member NHS Charities supporting the health and
emotional wellbeing of those on the front line of the NHS, so they can deliver
the best care possible to coronavirus patients.

Ellie Orton, Chief Executive
of NHS Charities Together, said: “NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing
work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients and working tirelessly in the
face of the virus.

“It’s easy to feel helpless
in times like these but this campaign gives us all as individuals, groups and
organisations the chance to show we care and to make a difference. Together, we
can help those affected by supporting the health and wellbeing of those at the
frontline of our NHS.”

NHS Charities Together also calls on the public to follow the NHS and Government’s guidance about keeping yourself and others safe and to support family and friends through social media messaging.
