Morrisons is selling a gingerbread ‘NHS Hero’ to show its support for all those who are working tirelessly in the fight against Coronavirus – with profits going our Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. They’re available in stores now until stocks last.

Decorated in blue scrubs and sporting a stethoscope, the specially crafted gingerbread has been designed to offer Morrisons customers the chance to say thank you to everyone working in the NHS.

The gingerbread will be available at all Morrisons Cake Shop counters nationwide and will cost £1.00. All the profits from the sales of the gingerbread NHS Heroes will be donated  directly to NHS Charities Together.

Megan Moore, Cakeshop Buying Manager at Morrisons, said: “We’ve created a special gingerbread biscuit to pay tribute to all those working hard in the NHS. We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to show their support and appreciation during these unprecedented times. ”

Ellie Orton, Chief Executive of NHS Charities Together, said: “Our staff and volunteers are working tirelessly through these unprecedented times. All these donations will be used to enhance the well-being of those on the frontline. It’s great that Morrisons is giving the nation an opportunity to show their gratitude and respect in this way.”
