Robert's story

Running to say thank you to the NHS
Robert is taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon this April to support NHS Charities Together. After experiencing first-hand the incredible care his daughter received from the NHS, he’s fundraising to give back and say thank you for the support his family continues to rely on.
Robert’s story
“In April 2026, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause. Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
Ever since our daughter Poppy was born in March 2024, we’ve been regular visitors to the hospital while she recovers from bronchiolitis. We’ve had the ‘luxury’ of staying overnight on 12 different occasions, usually for a few nights at a time.
During these stays, she has needed oxygen and other support to help her breathing until it returned to a safe level without assistance.
Although this journey has been mentally tough for our family, we have received incredible support from the amazing nurses and doctors. Their dedication and care have made an immeasurable impact on our lives during these challenging times.
I would love to give back to the NHS, which has provided us with so much support over the first two years of our daughter’s life.”
