Help us save lives in the community
NHS Charities Together are thrilled to partner with Omaze on their biggest prize draw yet.
Everyone who took part in Omaze’s London House Draw will help NHS Charities Together to support a wide-reaching programme working with the ambulance service to help save lives when members of the public experience a cardiac arrest outside of their home.
Every minute is crucial when experiencing a cardiac arrest and access to a defibrillator can make the difference between life and death. Receiving defibrillation within the first four minutes of a cardiac arrest can increase the chances of survival to 80%. However, for every minute after, the survival rate can drop by 10%.
Help us to provide urgent help to those experiencing cardiac arrest
Our partnership with Omaze will help us to fund vital equipment and training for ambulance services across the UK, and this prize draw could help us to fund projects such as:
- The training and equipment for Community First Responders, volunteers who are often first at the scene of an emergency and provide life-saving treatment before an ambulance arrives
- Training for members of the public in basic lifesaving skills
- Increasing the number of defibrillators to be placed at strategic locations across the UK.
