Amazon
Working together to support local hospitals, encourage innovation and tackle health inequalities.

About our partnership
Over the last four years, Amazon has raised £473,000 for NHS Charities Together through company gifts, and staff donations and challenges – this includes a charity cycle which is taking place for the fourth time this Summer.
Last year’s charity cycle saw two groups of Amazon staff take on the challenge. The first pedalled their way 118km from London to Brighton, and the second 280km all the way from London to Paris. And together they’ve raised over £42,000.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the money raised by Amazon was spent supporting local hospitals, as well as youth mental health and children’s wards located close to their Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) sites.
Most recently, money donated by Amazon directly – which totals £8,000 - has been ringfenced to support our Innovation Challenge programme. This is a 10-year programme that aims to encourage innovation in the NHS and tackle health inequalities. The programme aligns with Amazon’s priority focus area of ‘Underserved and Underrepresented Youth’ as it’s supporting children and young people aged 0-18 in its first three years. This year’s charity cycle will also support this programme.
