Better staff wellbeing leads to better healthcare for everyone.
Let’s support NHS staff when they need it most.

NHS staff care for us when we need it most but increased pressures are
leaving NHS workers feeling burnt out, overwhelmed and isolated. Staff
wellbeing is suffering creating a huge impact on our NHS and its patients.
NHS Charities Together provides support helping ease some of the
pressures faced.

76%

of staff have experienced a mental
health condition in the last year

60%

of staff are worried about
their colleagues’ mental health

96%

of staff believe that pressure on
NHS services is growing

More pressure than

ever before

Lack of sleep and long days, stress and lack of emotional support combined with patient backlogs and an aging population are taking their toll on our NHS staff.

Staff wellbeing

is suffering

Poor mental health and fatigue is resulting in staff sickness and absence, staff are leaving the NHS and this is having a huge impact on our NHS and its patients.

 Providing

support

We support NHS staff wellbeing at a national level by providing projects and services such as councelling, helplines and wellbeing zones for staff that help ease some of the pressures faced.

A better health

service for all

Supporting NHS staff to improve their wellbeing leads to better healthcare and better treatment for you and your loved ones.

“Working as a nurse is still incredibly challenging. It’s so vital that we continue to invest in NHS staff mental health.”

Steph Gorman is an intensive care nurse at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust in London, where we have funded wellbeing zones at the hospital to help support staff with their mental health.
