Getting started

We’re delighted to hear that you might like to fundraise for us! To get started you can request our free fundraising pack which is full of hints, tips and printable resources.

We love to hear from our supporters so please do email us at hello@anhsc.org.uk to let us know about what you will be doing and don’t forget to join fellow fundraisers in our Facebook group and shout about your achievements!

Once you have decided what you will be doing, we recommend setting up a JustGiving page. JustGiving will take you through a step-by-step process where you can enter details about your fundraising and choose to support NHS Charities Together. Once your page is set up, you can share the link with friends and family and any money donated through your page will then come directly to us without any hassle.

If you have requested a physical fundraising pack, we aim to get this out to you within 10 days.

Yes! If you’d like a t-shirt/running vest for your event, please email the size you require and your address to hello@anhsc.org.uk.

Unfortunately, we cannot promote or endorse fundraising events. However, we can offer advice on how to promote your event. We’d also love to hear how things went and potentially share your fundraising story on our website, social media, or in the press.

Please get in touch with us at hello@anhsc.org.uk.

We love to meet our fundraisers in person, however we are currently a small team whose priority is to get funds to where they are needed most as soon as possible and due to capacity cannot fulfil all requests to speak at or attend fundraising events.

The money you raise for us is helping to make healthcare better across the UK. We’re working to improve access to health services, to provide the best patient experiences, and to make sure all our incredible NHS staff are cared for. Please contact hello@anhsc.org.uk if you are interested in supporting a particular area of our work.

If you would like to fundraise for a specific hospital you should contact the charity associated with that hospital directly. You can find your local NHS hospital charity by using our interactive map.

Paying in your fundraising money

The easiest way to fundraise is by setting up a JustGiving page. If you collected money on a JustGiving page, the money you raise will come directly to us so there’s nothing extra you need to do.

If you’ve collected any cash, you can pay it in using one of the options below:

  • Pay the donations onto your JustGiving page

  • Do a bank transfer, email hello@anhsc.org.uk for our account details

  • Send a cheque made payable to ‘NHS Charities Together’ to our office address, Pure Offices (Suite 68) Lake View House Wilton Drive Warwick CV34 6RG

The money you raise will make a huge difference for NHS staff, patients and communities.

Thanks to amazing fundraisers like you, we have funded hundreds of projects across the UK to help the NHS thrive. We’re there for exhausted NHS staff to help them through the hardest moments. And we’re pushing patient care further to transform lives, as well as supporting community volunteers to make a difference in emergency situations.

With your support we can continue to do this and make sure absolutely everyone has access to the health and care they need, whenever they need it.

It can take a couple of weeks for us to process and total up your fundraising donations but once we have received them all we will send you an acknowledgement by email or in the post.

Yes! NHS Charities Together can claim back an extra 25p on every £1 donated to us in Gift Aid. If your supporters are UK tax payers, please encourage them to tick the Gift Aid box when they donate as this will increase their donation to us by an extra 25% at no extra cost to them.

Please note, Gift Aid can only be claimed for individual donations and cannot be claimed on behalf of a group or as part of a collection.

Legal information

Yes of course, we would love for you to fundraise for us! However, any fundraiser under the age of 18 must have permission from their parent or guardian before they start fundraising. Your fundraising page must also be set up with direct supervision of an adult and your parent/guardian will need to take responsibility to ensure your fundraising is safe and legal.

You cannot use the NHS Charities Together logo in your fundraising materials/promotion as this has special permissions and contract requirements along with a license fee. You may use our ‘in support of logo’. Please email hello@anhsc.org.uk if you’d like this.

Please note the NHS logo also must not be used for fundraising purposes as the logo is protected by law and is a UK trademark owned by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.

We do not accept cash donations and do not permit street or door-to-door collections. However, we can send you a small collection box for you to use at your fundraising event.  When handling cash make sure it is kept safe and secure. Always try to have two people in charge of counting and transporting cash and get it to the bank as soon as possible.

We want your fundraising to be as successful and safe as possible. When taking part in fundraising it is important to identify any possible risk.

Liability - NHS Charities Together cannot accept any responsibility for your event or anyone who participates in it. If your event involves the general public, please seek advice regarding public liability insurance.

Personal data - As part of your fundraising you may come into contact with personal data. You are responsible for ensuring any data you hold complies with the Data Protection Act 2018. As a rule of thumb, keep any data you have stored securely and safe from loss or unauthorised access. Do not keep data for any longer than you need it and do not share information about someone without their permission. Make sure you securely dispose of any data.

Food hygiene - Please take great care when handling food and ensure food is clearly labelled. The food standards agency provides guidelines for safely preparing, handling and cooking food.

Safeguarding children - Extra care should be taken if your fundraising idea involves children. Please ensure you have sufficient adult supervision and always seek permission from parents or guardians before taking or sharing photos.

For further guidance please visit the Fundraising Regulator’s website.

Unfortunately, we are unable to support fundraisers with raffles or prizes. We recommend that you approach local businesses or organisations asking them whether they would be able to donate items. There are strict laws relating to all lotteries and raffles so please follow these and operate your auction or raffle accordingly. For more information visit the Fundraising Regulator or Gambling Commission websites.

You can obtain a letter of authorisation that confirms we are aware of your fundraising by emailing  hello@anhsc.org.uk and letting us know your name and what you will be doing to fundraise. Once we have approved your fundraising activity, we will email you a letter for you to print.
