Ella's story

Thanking NHS staff for their hard work
Having a close friend who works in A&E means Ella knows the struggles NHS staff go through, as well as the dedication they have that enables them to help their patients to the best of their ability.
That’s why she took part in a marathon to raise funds for NHS Charities Together.
“When I run my marathon, I will be thinking of the hard work and dedication NHS workers put into their shifts every day and that will get me to the finish line.”
Why Ella chose to support us
“Once I had signed up I needed to decide who I will run for and this is where I started to think about who I wanted to help. One of my closest friends works in A&E and I understand the struggles she and all other NHS staff go through.
“It's no secret that the NHS really are the heroes in the UK, especially since the pandemic began in 2020. I just want to show my support and help the staff, as well as patients, be able to give/receive the best support they can.
“I also find that a lot of the people who attend exercise classes are NHS workers as they fit around their shifts and they are the most kind-hearted, hardest working people I have met. They deserve all the support and praise!”
